Net Filament Weight, Packed Weight and Shipping Cost: Keep Them Separate

A 1 kg filament description and a parcel weighing more than 1 kg can both be correct. PRINTPANDA's PETG Filament is listed in a 1 kg spool format. The material you can print with, the empty spool and the shipping package are separate parts of the shipment. Keep these quantities separate when comparing purchase value or preparing a bulk delivery inquiry.

Start with usable material

Ask whether a stated weight is the net filament amount or the gross packaged product. Do not estimate usable filament by weighing a partly used spool without knowing its empty weight. For a project estimate, record the selected variant and the material quantity separately from shipping weight. That prevents a heavy container from being mistaken for additional printable material.

Request the shipping package measurements

For several spools, ask for the number of cartons, packed weight and outside dimensions of each carton. A list of net filament weights alone is insufficient for a freight quote. Obtain the carrier or supplier's actual billable-weight method rather than inventing a universal conversion. A shipment may be assessed differently depending on its packaging, service and destination, so compare quotes for the same scope.

Compare the landed purchase

List material price, shipping, any applicable import charges and the agreed delivery destination. Keep unknown amounts marked pending. When comparing two offers, verify that both contain the same net weight and color selection and that transport covers the same endpoint. A low spool price does not establish a low delivered cost, and a supplier's domestic shipping promotion does not automatically apply to a PRINTPANDA order.

Before checkout, confirm current availability, ship-from location, handling time and the delivery arrangement for the selected PETG variant. For wholesale inquiries, send the exact color codes, quantities and destination along with any carton-handling limits. Ask whether partial shipments or substitutions require approval. Keep the final quote with the packaging information so changes in carton count can be reviewed without confusing them with a change in the material quantity purchased.

This guide explains a cost-recording method. It does not provide an unverified parcel weight, freight rate or delivery promise for this listing.
