Choosing filament for lettering is partly a design decision. A spool can match your preferred color while the smallest details in the intended name remain difficult to recognize. Before committing to a batch from the PLA Filament Combo Set, use a small text coupon that represents the real job.
Test the characters that matter
Include examples from the actual wording: a narrow letter, a curved letter, a repeated pair, punctuation and any accent that must survive the process. A sample reading only “TEST” may miss the detail in the final customer's name. Use the planned text size and base layout, and keep the file version with your notes.
Prusa's Text tool documentation distinguishes added lettering, subtracted lettering and modifier uses, and describes adjustable text settings. That is software guidance, not a minimum printable letter size or a guarantee for this filament. Confirm the behavior in the software and printer workflow you actually use.
Choose an acceptance question
Decide what the observer must recognize. For a desk sign, that might be the complete name at the intended distance. For a small tag, it might be a short identifier when held for inspection. Compare samples in the lighting where the item will be used. Do not let a zoomed photograph become the only proof that the wording is readable.
Keep the proposed base color and lettering color together during the trial. Record any change to font, text placement or printing settings as a new sample. If several features change at once, you may not know which change improved the result. Choose a sample on its own merits rather than claiming that one color or material always prints the best text.
Buy for the accepted design
Once the wording works, use the final sliced design to estimate the quantity of each color, including any material-management overhead. Then confirm the bundle SKU, spool count and net weight. The current listing requires delivery and availability checks and identifies a China warehouse configuration; it does not establish a ready-to-collect San Diego supply.
If you prefer a finished personalized product, compare the Desk Name Plate instead. That order uses a layout approval process. Its CAD illustration is a design reference rather than a photograph proving how your own printer will reproduce every character.
